MyFrontSteps was an online community where people could discuss their homes and connect with trusted home service providers. The project launched in spring of 2009.
The community comprised a Facebook application and a standalone web portal for homeowners, as well as a separate site called StepRep for home service providers.
Besides connecting businesses with potential customers in the MFS community, StepRep included a reputation management feature which turned out to be very popular. The demand was so great that in late 2009 we changed our strategy to focus on expanding and perfecting StepRep as a reputation intelligence tool.
Meanwhile, the social networking features we developed for MFS were spun off into a new product called MashedIn. Launched in January, 2010, MashedIn builds trust by finding common connections across multiple social networks.
Other technology we developed for MFS has since been licensed to another company.
MyFrontSteps was a product of VendAsta Technologies, based in Saskatoon, Canada. We're still going strong.
