‘Driving Local Economies’ also means giving back to the communities where we live and work. We’re always looking to find new ways of supporting our neighbours, while getting Vendastians away from their monitors and into the wild! Below, you'll find information on volunteer bank hours, employee matching, and corporate donations.💚
Vendasta focuses its time and investment in three core pillar of support:
Enriching the lives of children and families in need
Providing digital literacy and STEM education
Advocating for a strong technology ecosystem in Canada

Vendasta's volunteer-driven Community Support Committee meets several times a year to assess community donation and sponsorship requests. The members review applications and approves investments based on how well the opportunities align with our charitable values. You can learn more about the process and programs by visiting the Community Support Framework and by joining #announce-vharmony and #committee--community-support on Slack.
Our Community Support efforts at Vendasta include:

Charitable organizational donations
Events & fundraising initiatives to give back to the community
Communicating and organizing #announce-vharmony volunteer opportunities for Vendastians
Providing work hours (8 hours per year) for volunteering
Employee donation matching up to $5,000 per year
Vendasta Tech Camp

Extra Life gaming marathons
Vendastians are always looking for ways to give back, and it's easier now than ever! Every Vendastian gets eight hours of volunteer time during work hours. Simply provide your direct manager with information on your volunteer activity and get approval from them for the time away from work. Mark the hour(s) in Bamboo under the Volunteer Time Off option and add a note to indicate where you volunteered. To meet requirements to have your 8.0 hours paid your time must be with a registered charity or a Vendasta owned community support initiative.
Please note: Volunteer time for out-of-office activities during evenings and weekends can not be banked as additional vacation.
In search of an opportunity to give your time? Join #announce-vharmony to learn about calls for volunteers as they happen, or email community@vendasta.com with any questions.
