Vendasta launches Social Ambassadorship Program
Learn why the program is so valuable and how you can get involved
Not everyone wants to be an influencer.
Heck, most people balk at the idea of being among the influenced!
If you’re asked who has the greatest impact on you and your opinions, your closest friends and family might top your list.
What if I were to tell you that those folks are your influencers? Marketing experts call them nano- or micro-influencers—people who have a small audience of high-trusting people within their inner circle. They might include your bestie, the guy you worked with at a car dealership in 2012, a girl you sat across from in third grade, or a distant relative who’s always cheered you on no matter how many years it’s been (I should really tell my cousin’s wife how much I appreciate her…).
When you post something on social media, you’re likely having an impact on how people see you or the things you care about. People always capture more attention than brands.
To see this in action, check out Vendasta’s social media (give us a ‘like’ or ‘follow’ while you’re over there!). The interactions on our pages—and those of our competitors—are usually pretty low. Now, compare that to a post by Andrew Carson, Jon Neher, or Nicole Lauzon. Again, it’s pretty clear: People prefer to hear from people.
The point is: You don’t need to be high-profile to influence the world, and when you talk about things you like or observe, people pay attention!
Naturally, it has a significant impact when people post nice things about Vendasta. When others notice, they’re more likely to apply for jobs and see us in a positive light. This helps us work with other rockstars and, overall, helps Vendasta grow successfully. It benefits everyone!
With all this in mind, we’re looking for Vendastians to act as Social Ambassadors. It’s a very simple program: You earn points if you create a post about Vendasta or cheerlead another ambassador by interacting with them. Then, at the end of the month, three gift card prizes are awarded to the top posts.
The program is designed to be flexible: If you participate in February but you’re planning to enjoy a social detox in March, you simply opt-out of submitting your scorecard for that month. We want the initiative to be inclusive and delightful. Check out the handbook to learn more about how you can get involved and help Vendasta’s brand succeed.
